(Sept. 5, 2007) – The WaveMasters Surf Club, through their annual surf event in May, raises money for youth and environmental organizations that serve the beaches area. Through the efforts of Sandy Golding and the members of Beaches Watch, the 35′ height limit became part of the city charter, ending a spree of highrise construction by local and outside developers. The WaveMasters are proud to donate $500 from their 2007 event proceeds as a token of appreciation for helping save our community from overdevelopment, and preserving our coastline access for future generations.
