Beaches Watch is proud to present its 2024 Give Back Award to Beaches Habitat for Humanity, who has been serving the beaches communities since 1990. Their mission is based on the belief that “everyone deserves a decent place to live. Seeking to put God’s love into action, Beaches Habitat brings people together to build homes, community, and hope.” Beaches Habitat serves a diverse population, which includes all the beaches communities to the communities east of St. Johns Bluff Road, with most clients coming from all three beaches communities.
The Give Back award will be used to help fund the Critical Home Repairs program, which identifies citizens whose homes need repair, but they do not have the means or funds to have the repair work completed. Non-emergency repairs can include roof repairs; construction of wheelchair ramps; window/door replacement; flooring repairs; and, plumbing and HVAC repairs. While the repairs are not free, the program offers reasonable re-payment options.
“As we approach the season of giving, Beaches Watch is proud to present our ‘Give Back Award’ to Beaches Habitat for Humanity to show our appreciation for all its volunteers and staff who are doing such important work to enhance the quality of life for our Beaches citizens,” said Beaches Watch President Maria Mark.
