The 2026 Florida Legislature is discussing changes to property taxes, including complete elimination of property taxes for homesteaded properties. Because property taxes fund city essential services, elimination of property taxes would impact the services provided by cities. The beaches City Managers will be discussing how your property taxes are used by your city and the impact that is expected if cities do not have property tax revenues to pay for essential services.
