On February 1, the Florida Department of Transportation will host an open house regarding a drainage project along A1A (3rd Street). This project will alleviate some of the most flood prone areas of Jacksonville Beach.

You are invited to an open house to learn about the project from 4:30-6:30pm on February 1, at the Jacksonville Beach Community Center at 2508 South Beach Pkwy, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

Improvements include channel clearing, grading and sheet piling from Penman Road to the existing box culvert along the existing drainage canal; a replacement of the Kings Road Bridge; Replacement of channel crossings at 15th Avenue North, 18th Avenue North, Seagate (20th) Avenue and 5th Street near 13th Avenue North

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project personnel will be available to provide information and answer questions about this project.
