Beaches Watch is pleased to announce the Beaches Council on Aging is the 2022 Beaches Watch Give-Back Donation recipient. On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Beaches Watch will be presenting the Give-Back donation to representatives from the Beaches Council On Aging at 7pm at the Beaches Branch Library, 600 3rd St, Neptune Beach. The public is invited to attend this meeting to learn more about the Beaches Council on Aging as well as hear an update from BEAM, the 2021 Give-Back Donation recipient, on how the 2021 donation helped their organization.
Since 1975, the Beaches Council on Aging has been improving the quality of life for senior and disabled residents of the Beaches by connecting them to people, services and places with care. Beaches Council on Aging’s program “Dial-A-Ride” currently provides transportation services for over 95 monthly riders to medical appointments, shopping or to visit friends. Without this important service, senior and disabled beaches residents would be confined to their home. Dial-A-Ride provides their riders freedom and hope to remain in their homes as long as they are able. The 2022 Give-Back Donation will assist the Beaches Council on Aging in adding another van to their TripMaster online scheduling program, increasing the vehicles in the program to four. The Beaches Watch annual Give-Back donation supports outstanding nonprofit organizations that help enrich the quality of life of beaches residents. “Beaches Watch is proud to present this Give-Back donation to Beaches Council on Aging to show our appreciation for all they are doing to enhance the quality of life for our beaches communities. We hope this donation will help Beaches Council on Aging continue the great work they are doing to help those in need in our beaches communities,” said Beaches Watch President Maria Mark.
