Topic: The Blooms and the Bees: What You Need to Know!
Guest speakers for the presentation will be Lee McDonald, local Master Gardener and columnist; John Jolly, Neptune Beach city councilman and beaches beekeeper; and Tom Garcia with the Beaches Beekeepers group.
With springtime quickly approaching, residents will be spending more time in their yards and gardens. Having a beautiful landscape and garden at the beach is more than planting and watering. Lee McDonald will be discussing plants, pollinators and pesticides at the beaches and what residents need to know about sustainable biodiversity at the beach. John Jolly will be discussing his experience raising bees at the beaches. And Tom Garcia will discuss the new Beaches Beekeeper group.
