Police Chiefs Provide Annual Update on Community Safety

Speakers:  Atlantic Beach Police Chief Gualillo, Jacksonville Beach Police Chief Smith, Neptune Beach Police Commander Michael Key

Beaches Watch will host a Beaches Police Panel on Wednesday, July 13 in the Beaches Branch Public Library, 600 Third Street, Neptune Beach, FL. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. This program will help our beaches residents understand not only what they need to know about police issues but why they need to know that information.

Atlantic Beach Police Chief Vic Gualillo, Jacksonville Beach Police Chief Gene Paul Smith, and Neptune Beach Commander Michael Key will share updates.  Issues they are expected to address include successes and challenges of the 2022 summer season, involvement of the police departments with student and teacher safety, information on gun, gang, and drug activities at the beaches, and how citizens can support their police departments.

Beaches Watch President Maria Mark said, “It’s always great to hear directly from our police chiefs and to learn how we, the citizens, can be of service to them and to our communities. It’s also a time to give thanks to our women and men in blue for their service and sacrifices.”

Questions can be submitted in advance via email to  info@beacheswatch.com no later than July 11. The audience will have the opportunity pose questions to the panelists the night of July 13, as well.
