Beaches Watch Monthly Meeting

Topic: 2024 Legislative Session Update
Guest Speaker: Scott Dudley, Florida League of Cities, Director of Field Advocacy

The Florida 2024 Legislative Session will begin January 9, 2024 and will end March 8, 2024. Beaches Watch will be hosting a meeting Wednesday, February 7 at 7pm at the Beaches Branch Library, 600 3^rd St, Neptune Beach, to help you learn about the concerning bills for 2024 and what YOU can do to make your voice heard.

Scott Dudley, Director of Field Advocacy with the Florida League of Cities, will discuss the bills that are most concerning for our local governments, the League’s grassroots advocacy effort called Local Voices United, and how you can become a part of this important grassroots advocacy effort to make your voices heard during the 2024 Legislative Session. Mr. Dudley is expected to update us on bills addressing vacation rentals, affordable housing, homestead tax exemptions, sovereign immunity and more. His unvarnished and forthright review of proposed laws and regulations that will impact our quality of life at the beaches will inspire questions and discussion.
