On December 6, the BEAM Grace Garden was presented the 8th Annual Beaches Watch “Give-Back” donation. Beaches Watch Presents Give-Back Donation to FHS Coastal Marine Science Service Club

Dune Restoration Efforts After Hurricane Matthew

When Hurricane Matthew hit Northeast Florida, the dunes along Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach protected the coastal communities from serious storm surge damage. However, the dunes sustained significant damage and future storms could now result in flooding without the dune protection. Where Do Your Tax Dollars Go?

The interlocal agreement was created in 1982 after the beach cities fought with the City of Jacksonville over the ways taxes and government services were shared.
